Free Movie at Milton Public Library: Mobster Film Series - "The Town"

Come attend a free showing of "The Town" (c2010, rated R) at the Milton Public Library as the third film in our "Mobster Film Series."  This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Public Library and will start promptly at 6:30 PM.  "The Town," a crime story about love, was co-written and directed by Ben Affleck, and adapted from the novel Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan, is set in Boston and stars Ben Affleck, John Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner and Blake Lively.  In this tense and wonderfully cast crime drama, Boston bank robber Doug MacRay (Affleck) falls for former hostage Claire Keesey (Hall).  As the FBI pursues MacRay's gang of career criminals from Charlestown, MacRay finds himself in conflict between the only family he has ever known, and the woman who sees him as someone other than a ruthless kidnapper.  This heart-pounding drama never rests as MacRay wrestles with his past and decides his future.
