Myles Connor speaks at Milton Art Center "The Art of the Heist"

Award-Winning Author, The Art of Column WritingMyles Connor: Art of the Heist

He did the time, now ask about his crime.  Myles J. Connor, Jr. wrote his autobiography with Jenny Siler,The Art of The Heist: Confessions of a Master Thief, and will make an extraordinarily rare appearance to talk about his life and involvement in art heists.

The event will be at the Milton Art Center, 334 Edge Hill Street in Milton (02186) from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at a public discussion led by Suzette Martinez Standring.
Also present will be his long time friend, confidante, music and documentary producer, Al Dotoli, a former Milton resident. Dotoli is featured in The Gardner Heist: The True Story of The World’s Largest Unsolved Art Theft by Ulrich Boser, and in Connor’s autobiography. Connor sold the rights to his life story to be made into a movie by Annapurna Pictures, the same company that produced Zero Dark Thirty.

All are welcome to this free public event, but seating is limited. The event, sponsored by the Milton Art Center, is in connection to 2013 Milton Reads, a townwide reading project where the entire town of Milton is encouraged to read one book, The Gardner Heist.

Recently at the Milton Library, Anthony Amore, director of security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and author of Stealing Rembrandts: The Untold Stories of Notorious Art Heists talked about Myles Connor and other convicted art thieves. Now hear about it directly from Myles J. Connor, Jr. This will be a fascinating event on Thursday, September 26.

Also, The Milton Art Center is sponsoring a Gardner Museum-inspired art exhibit,"Object of Desire," which opens with a reception on Friday, September 27 from 7:00 p.m.. All are also welcome to this free event.  Suzette Martinez Standring
