Object of Desire Exhibit / Artist Showcase

The Milton Art Center will be full of passion this fall.The public is invited to view the second annual member’s exhibit, Object of Desire, at the Milton Art Center, 334 Edge Hill Road in Milton. The exhibit’s theme is passion, and what inspires featured artists will be expressed in paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculptures..
The MAC will be showcasing the work of selected artists on Saturdays this fall during our Object of Desire exhibit. These talented artists and photographers will bringing in a larger body of their work, much of which will be for sale. Many of these artists will also be offering FREE demonstrations. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their craft, and see a larger body of their work. Drop in to visit or paint along on these special Saturdays. Bring your friends! You won’t want to miss these special artist showcases!!!! 

This week's featured artist: Diane
Sawyer, Pastel Artist



Diane will be painting and have additional
work on exhibit and for sale, including field studies and finished paintings
from Massachusetts, Vermont, upstate New York, and Vancouver Island. She will
do a demonstration in soft pastel. Bring your pastels to paint along, or tryout
the pastels for the first time. Some pastels and paper will be available to
sample.

All artwork will be available for sale and on display at MAC from September 27 through November 22, and is free and open to the public. Purchased art may go home with buyer the same day.


The Object of Desire exhibit is in collaboration with 2013 Milton Reads, a community wide project to read one book, The Gardner Heist: The True Story of the World’s Largest Unsolved Art Theft by Ulrich Boser, and is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library.
