Vernal pools are home to frogs, salamanders and even fairy shrimp. Find out about these incredible, temporary bodies of water and visit one of the Blue Hills vernal pools to discover who lives there, and why. This program begins in the Museum's auditorium where participants will look at the biology of these pools, and then go on a short guided hike to a vernal pool in the Blue Hills. Please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots. Preregistration is required. Suitable for adults and children ages 6 and up. MAS members $5, non-members $7. For more information or to register visit www.massaudubon.org/bluehills or call (617) 333-0690 ex. 226.
