LETTER: Thanks for Support of Relay for Life

More than five hundred people participated, helping to raise more than $131,000

As the co-chairs of this year’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Braintree, Milton and Randolph, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the many individuals that attended and supported this year’s event at Braintree High School.

More than five hundred people participated, helping to raise more than $131,000. We were honored to be joined by more than 65 survivors who participated in the opening lap and survivor reception. These survivors are the reason we continue the fight and their participation inspires hope in those currently battling cancer.

A special thanks to the many Relay For Life volunteers who worked to make this event a success – celebrating the lives of those who have battled cancer, remembering loved ones lost, and pledging to fight back against the disease. The Relay For Life committee did an outstanding job of putting the event together, including Gordon Behrer, Bette Blom, Joyce Burrell, Susan Clawson, Justin Fillion, Mary-Joan Foley, Amy Killian, Peggy Lundrigan, Maura Lynch, Michelle Maloney, Tory Morse, Debbie Nickless, Jack Sherman and Alex Weingart.
