Holiday Happenings Roundup: Dec. 9-11

A sampling of holiday sales, events and charity opportunities this weekend in Milton.

The holiday season is upon Milton. Plenty of annual events, sales and traditions as well as new favorites are popping up on the calendar. To keep it all straight, Milton Patch will provide you with a breakdown of holiday happenings each weekend.

Whether you’re looking for a handmade holiday craft or a little seasonal entertainment, the Holiday Bazaar offers the perfect balance. The sale, which will be held in the Highland Lobby, will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Proceeds from the Bazaar will benefit the hospital's Development Fund.

will perform tunes from the “Great American Songbook” in a free concert in the ’s Keys Community Room. Smith will be joined by jazz guitarist James Gordon and Berklee alum David Sakurai on bass. The jazz show will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The will host a two-part holiday event on Saturday evening. An open house reception will be held at the Adams Street museum from 4 to 6 p.m. that features local art and music as well as an opportunity to view the holiday décor at the historic home.

The festivities will move to at 6:30 p.m. for a concert with Calliope, a Boston-based instrumental and choral ensemble.

Tickets for the entire evening are $25 per person for museum members and $30 for nonmembers, $75 for a member family pack and $80 for nonmember family. Visit forbeshousemuseum.org for more information.

Artspace Milton will hold a reception for student art in the Keys Community Room at the on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Students from all the Milton Public Schools, St. Agatha's, St. Mary of the Hills, Milton Academy, Delphi Academy and Thatcher Montessori School contributed to the exhibit.

The will hold its annual Holiday Party on Sunday, December 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at . Santa Claus will be on hand for photos with children and pets. Pets should be on a leash.
