What Is Your Fondest Memory of Fenway Park?

Today is the 100th Anniversary of Fenway Park. The Red Sox will play the New York Yankees, the team they played on this day in 1912.

If you live on the South Shore, the oldest ball field in the country is practically in your backyard.

Yesterday, after work, of course, I went to the open house at Fenway Park and toured the stadium with thousands of my friends, walked on the track and took this photo from one of the private suites that was open to the public.

A once in a lifetime opportunity for me!

Maybe we will see you on TV at today's game!

My first game, I was 9 or 10. BosSox v ChiSox. I asked my dad why Roger Clemens wasn't pitching. We had standing room only seats and it was awesome. I still have the pennant my dad bought me that day. I also saw Josh Beckett's two-hitter a couple years ago. My friend, who's no baseball fan, said in the middle of this awesome game: "I'm bored."

I was there for what was supposed to be one of Roger Clemens' last games, and he was throwing for the Yanks at that point. The Fenway crowd respectfully rose to their seats and applauded him when he left the game, thinking it was the Rocket's last appearance at Fenway. Fenway is classy.

The greatest ovation they ever gave Roger was in the 1999 ALDS Game 4 when Pedro Martinez out-dueled the Rocket and half the Fenway crowd chanted "Where is Roger" and the other half responded "In the shower." Greatest chant ever.

Back when bleacher tickets cost $1.00, and we could go to a game on a Sat. ,anytime we wanted.
