Court Log: Man Sentenced to 18 Months in the Norfolk House of Correction

The following information came from Quincy District Court. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction unless otherwise stated.

Dorchester man sentenced on assault charge

Donald J. Cue, 28, of 11 York St., Apt. 2, Dorchester pleased guilty in Quincy District Court to assault and battery and was sentenced to 18 months in the Norfolk County House of Correction. Cue was to serve 30 days of that sentence, deemed served. The balance was suspended to Nov. 19, 2013.

The charge stemmed from a 911 call from a woman crying and saying someone was trying to choke her. The court instructed Cue to stay away from the victim and have no contact and to enter a program for batterers.

Rockland man charged in break-in

Andrew Jenkins, 21, of 370 Webster St., Rockland was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of trespassing, felony nighttime breaking and entering, and two counts of wanton and malicious destruction of property over $250.

The case was continued to Jan. 23. Jenkins was released on personal recognizance. The charges stem from a Oct. 8 incident in Milton at 2:07 a.m. when police were dispatched to 170 Cabot St., for a report of an unknown male trespassing. The man allegedly was able to start a vehicle, then drove it away over grass before crashing it into a tree, according to the police report.
