Court Log: Milton Resident Charged with Assault Using Beer Bottle

Hakeem Smalls, 22, of 46 Warren Ave., Milton was scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on an assault and battery charge, but did not show up in court for the hearing. A judge issued a default warrant to have Smalls arrested. The charge stems from an Aug. 4 incident in Milton at 2:30 p.m. when police were dispatched to a house party where a person was reported to have been struck across the left cheek with a beer bottle. The person required 18 stitches in the hospital, police said in the incident report.
