Assault with weapon case continued for hearing in December

Jose Valentin, 59, of 13 Tucker St., Milton had a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon continued to Dec. 13 for a hearing in Quincy District Court. The charge stems from a Feb. 23 incident at a group home in Milton at 7:45 a.m. when police responded to a report of a disturbance at the home. Valentin is accused of stabbing a person with a knife during an argument.

Derrick Gunn, 42, of 71 Westminster Ave., Apt. 3, Boston had a charge of driving without license suspended dismissed in Quincy District Court upon payment of $150 in court costs. The charge stems from a Oct. 13, 2011 incident in Milton when police allegedly observed Gunn driving 63 mph in a 35 mph zone on Unquity Road and stopped the vehicle.

Hyde Park man charged with leaving accident scene has charges dismissed

Newton Burrell, 55, of 18 Raldne Road, Hyde Park had charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident and a passing violation dismissed in Quincy District Court. The charges stemmed from a Nov. 26, 2010 incident in Milton at 9:30 p.m. when police while on patrol on Route 28 noticed a gray Chevrolet Blazer allegedly traveling 50 mph in a 40 mph zone and stopped the vehicle.
