Investigation Continues into Sovereign Bank Robbery

Milton Police are still investigating a robbery that occurred at the East Milton bank branch on July 23.

continue to investigate a at on Monday, July 23, during which a white male wearing a hat and sunglasses demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to police, the suspect entered the bank just before noon last Monday wearing a black, Adidas hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, a black Notre Dame Irish hat with a green brim and gold aviator sunglasses.

The white male is in his mid-20s with facial hair. He stands 5’10” and is between 160 and 180 pounds.

Deputy Chief Charles Paris said the suspect handed a teller a note during the robbery. The note included an expletive and demanded money and no dye packs.

Following the robbery, witnesses saw the man flee down Mechanic Street in a silver sedan. No additional information is known about the vehicle.

According to Paris, Milton Police Detective Michael Dillon is leading the investigation.
