Mattapan Man Arraigned on Drug Possession Charges

The following information came from Quincy District Court. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction unless otherwise stated.

David A. Myers, 36, of 65 Deering Road, Mattapan was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offense, two counts of possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offenses, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for police. The case was continued to March 14.

The charges stem from a July 20, 2009 incident in Milton after police allegedly engaged Myers in a car chase that ended when the 1994 Lexus ES300 collided with a parked Toyota Tundra. Police apprehended Myers and other suspect as they tried to flee. Police retrieved nine cell phones, alleged drug masking agents, $515 cash, 18 small white rock-like objects believed to be crack cocaine, 15 small baggies containing suspected heroin, and 28 green pills believed to be Ecstasy.
