Following a busy day for emergency officials, the Milton Police Department posted the latest news and a word of thanks on its Facebook page.
As of 9 p.m. Monday, October 29, no Hurricane Sandy-related injuries were reported in Milton and all local roads were open.
The statement thanked local government officials, MEMA staff and Milton Emergency Management volunteers.
Milton residents who followed the department’s recommendation to stay off the roads also helped in the efforts, Monday.
“Residents heeded the advice to stay home which allowed response by MPD to be swift and effective,” the statement said.
