Milton Police Schedule National Night Out Celebration

The Milton Police Department's annual community event is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 7.

For the sixth consecutive year, Milton residents and their police department will bond over an evening of free family fun.

A National Night Out event will be held at the Milton Police Headquarters, 40 Highland St., from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The free, family-friendly festivities include food, rides and kids’ activities. There will also be police equipment, headquarters’ tours and a K9 demonstration.

National Night Out is a non-profit program that aims to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
