Milton Police to Pumpkin Smashers: ‘You Should Be Ashamed’

Has your decorative pumpkin been smashed?

A team of teenagers have taken to the streets at night to steal and smash Milton resident’s decorative pumpkins, and the police aren’t happy about it.

The Milton Police Department, via the department’s Facebook page, published a post calling the act of destruction occurring over the weekend near Cunningham Park “rude inconsiderate, and showed no respect for the home of another.”

“Maybe doing this made you feel cool or empowered,” the post continued. “The truth is that you violated the private property of another. How would you feel if it were your home?”
