Milton Police Wish Residents a Safe Fourth of July

From an electronic sign to a Facebook post, the Milton Police Department is wishing residents a happy and safe Fourth of July.

"Summer is officially here," reads a post on the Milton Police Department's Facebook page. With summer comes plenty of dangers, so the MPD is promoting safety as Independence Day approaches.

As they've done for the past few years, the electronic message board has been moved in front of the Milton Police Station with the words, "Have a Safe 4th of July."

The Facebook message elaborates on the simple suggestion.

"If you are traveling, drive safely and allow extra travel time. On the water, always have a (PFD) on you. Please do not drink and drive. "
