Milton Woman Hurt As SUV Crashes Through Guardrail

The SUV landed on its side down an embankment.

Authorities said a Milton woman driving a sport utility vehicle crashed through a guardrail on Interstate 95 in Norwood Sunday morning.

The 44-year-old woman and a girl in the passenger seat sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. The woman was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer, according to State Police.

A 2013 Kia driven by a 22-year-old woman from Hyde Park was also involved in the crash. She was not hurt, police said.

The crash happened at about 8 a.m. The SUV landed on its side down an embankment.

Police said part of the highway may be closed so crews can repair the guardrail.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
