Official: Eliot St. Fire Likely Not Suspicious; No Cause Yet

Milton fire and state police officials are investigating the fire.

Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of a three-alarm blaze that ripped through an Eliot Street home Wednesday morning, but the incident does not appear to be suspicious, according to one Milton official.

Deputy Chief Kevin Finnerty said they are still attempting to determine the cause as of Thursday afternoon.

Two victims had to be rescued from the burning home at 240 Eliot St. – a firefighter had to remove one from a second-floor bedroom, and the other was rescued by aerial ladder.
