POLICE LOG: Woman Reports a Stolen Purse

Milton Police posted the following incidents recently: 

Jan. 25

  • 2:10 a.m. Police, State Police, and EMTs assisted with a vehicle off the road on Neponset Valley Parkway.
  • 8:46 a.m. A 911 hang up was reported on Pleasant Street.
  • 2:08 p.m. A 911 hang up call was reported from an elevator on Wharf Street.
  • 3:49 p.m. A customer at Extra Space Storage reported a past tense larceny incident, a stolen Sony digital camera, valued at $800, that had been removed from the unit sometime during the past year.

  • 2:51 a.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported on Blue Hill Avenue near Brush Hill Road. The caller reported that a white or silver sedan fled the scene.
  • 4:58 a.m. Two vehicles were involved in a motor vehicle accident at Randolph Avenue and Chickatawbut Road.
  • 5:30 p.m. A caller reported striking an unknown object on Highland Street. A search of the area yielded negative results.

Jan. 27

  • 8:51 a.m. A Curtis Road resident called 911 to report that, “people are spreading lies about her.” The officer reported that the person “suffers from mental issues” and spoke to her and others about the situation.
  • 11:09 a.m. A Lyman Road resident accidentally called 911.
  • 5:47 p.m. A vehicle struck a deer on Canton Avenue near Gile Road. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the deer ran off into the woods.
  • 6:59 p.m. A vehicle struck a tree on Reedsdale Road.
  • 8:06 p.m. A vehicle struck a deer on Indian Spring Road near Canton Avenue. The deer ran into the woods. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

  • 7:54 a.m. A two-car accident was reported on Randolph Avenue near Reedsdale Road. No injuries were reported.
  • 8:17 a.m. A two-car accident was reported on Edgehill Road at Governors Road.
  • 4:16 p.m. Two motor vehicles were involved in an accident on Canton Avenue and Brush Hill Road.
  • 5:43 p.m. Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Central Avenue.
  • 6:15 p.m. Two cars crashed on Randolph Avenue.
  • 7:10 p.m. A Chilton Park resident misdialed 911.
  • 9:14 p.m. An Eliot Street resident mistakenly dialed 911. 

Jan. 29

  • 7:55 a.m. A Norman Street resident reported a past breaking and entering in a motor vehicle.
  • 9:20 a.m. A Bassett Street resident misdialed 911.
  • 10:27 a.m. A 911 misdial was reported from Sassamon Avenue.
  • 11:27 a.m. A two-car accident was reported on Adams Street near Brook Road.
  • 12:24 p.m. A commercial vehicle was towed from Lincoln Street for having a revoked registration.
  • 1:24 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported on Bassett Street. The suspect vehicle was described as a maroon Toyota Camry-type sedan with a white woman operating the vehicle. A search of the area yielded no vehicle matching the description.
  • 9:20 p.m. A vehicle struck a deer at Apple Lane and Canton Avenue.

Jan. 30

  • 7:02 a.m. A two motor vehicle crash was reported on Canton Avenue with minor damage.
  • 12:44 p.m. A woman reported a stolen purse on St. Mary’s Road.
  • 2:55 p.m. A Fairfax Road resident misdialed 911.
  • 7:46 p.m. A Thacher Street resident dialed 911 for medial assistance but later, drive the resident to the hospital instead.
