Police Track Down Speeding Motorcyclist

State and area police have been seeking the cyclist, who drove at speeds in excess of 100 mph, for several weeks.

A speeding motorcyclist has been arrested and arraigned Tuesday after a weeks-long pursuit by area police.

Daniel Rebello, 29, of Somerset, was arrested on Route 24 and transported to the Milton State Police barracks.

Troopers spotted Rebello traveling in the breakdown lane on Route 24 at “very high rates of speed,” according to a state police statement.

A witness contacted State Police General Headquarters a short time later to report that the motorcycle was stopped in a parking lot just off Route 24 on Route 139, hiding behind a tractor-trailer unit.  Randolph Police arrived on-scene and detained the suspect at around 7:28 Tuesday morning.
