A barricaded suspect was taken into custody by SWAT team members Wednesday evening after a three-hour stand-off that temporarily froze the neighborhood around Phyllis Lane in Milton.
Metro LEC SWAT and Milton police responded to the scene at approximately 4:30 p.m. They blocked off streets leading to the home and used a bullhorn to attempt to communicate with the suspect.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital shortly after 7 p.m.
A witness, Kristie Crowley, who lives at Gerald Road and Phyllis Lane, said she came home from work in Boston and the road was blocked off at Nancy and Gerald, so she went around the backside and it was blocked as well.
Krowley said she saw four SWAT trucks, including one from Arlington.
