Tuesday Storm Damages Trees, Power Lines

This is an excerpt of storm-related calls from the Milton Police Log on Tuesday, September 18.

On Tuesday, September 18, high winds and rain struck the area. Tree limbs and power lines were damaged Tuesday afternoon and night due to the storm.

Below are reports provided by the Milton Police Department relating to storm damage.

  • At 3:19 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 caller reported a blown transformer on Central Avenue.
  • At 3:23 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a tree down at Brush Hill Road and Valentine Road. DPW was notified.
  • At 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a power line sparking on Wendell Park. NSTAR was notified.
  • At 8:01 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a large tree limb took down wires and is blocking Oak Street.
  • At 8:34 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a line down at Canton Avenue and Blue Hills Parkway. NSTAR was notified to respond.
  • At 9:08 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported downed power lines on Blue Hills Parkway.
