Three Men Arrested For Allegedly Raping Curry College Student

Kensley Metellus, 19, and Shakarus D. Semexant, 20, both of Malden, and Justin O. Castor, 19, of Arlington were arrested and face charges of aggravated rape, conspiracy to commit rape, assault with intent to rape and indecent assault and battery.

Three men allegedly raped a Curry College student after a campus dance, according to a report in the Currier Times, the school’s student newspaper. 

Kensley Metellus, 19, and Shakarus D. Semexant, 20, both of Malden, and Justin O. Castor, 19, of Arlington, were arrested by Milton police last week, charged with aggravated rape, conspiracy to commit rape, assault with intent to rape, and indecent assault and battery.

The three men were arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court and have been released on bail, according to the report.

Castor, who graduated from the Hyde School in Maine in 2011, and Metellus, a 2011 Malden High School graduate, both attended Curry College last year but not this year, the Times reports. 

Both men reportedly knew the alleged victim, who reported the incident on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

A college spokesman told the student newspaper that the administration was “deeply saddened” by the incident and “100 percent focused” on continuing to support students. Meanwhile, students at the school said they’ve felt “a little unsafe” since the incident.

Semexant attended Mount Ida College in Newton in 2010 after graduating from Malden High School.

Both Metellus and Semexant played football their freshman year in college.
