With Mother’s Day slowly approaching and planting season sneaking up on Milton, the Amateur Gardeners of Milton are here to help.
The group will hold its Annual Spring Plant and Geranium Sale on Saturday, May 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The sale will be at Town Hall, where the group recently planted a new garden near the wall in front of the Baron Hugo Gazebo. As part of a project for Milton’s 350th Anniversary, the Amateur Gardeners plan to plant more items in front of Town Hall and the two war memorials.
According to member Ginny Corcoran, the sale will feature, “sturdy geraniums, lovely hanging plants for Mother's Day and assorted annuals for your planters and window boxes.”
Members of the club will be on hand to help with plant selection.
Proceeds from the sale will fund beatification projects like the gardens at the Town Hall gazebo and the intersection of Rt. 138 and Canton Avenue. The Amateur Gardeners of Milton also provide scholarships for Milton High School seniors.
