Obama to Defend Health Law Rollout in Faneuil Hall Visit

The president will be in Boston on the same day as the Red Sox play a potential World Series-winning game at Fenway Park.

President Barack Obama will be in Boston Wednesday. He will reportedly tout the success of the Bay State's health care law, which was of course a model for the national Affordable Care Act.

But the president's bid to shore up support for Obamacare after a shaky start to the law's implementation isn't the only storyline.

Merchants in Faneuil Hall, where the president is expected to speak about 4 p.m., say the visit will cost them major business, according to the Boston Herald. They're being ordered to shut down for hours during a day legions of tourists will be flooding the city for game six of the World Series.

Traffic is also a concern, as presidential visits always require road closures and even subway service stoppages.
