Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments.

President Romney or Obama - Do you agree that all of governments power is derived from the people and that govt overstepping power is dangerous and wrong?

Pres. Obama: If ObamaCare is so good for its citizens, why are members of Congress exempt from following this law? Will you take a pledge tonight to enroll you and your family rather than opt for private insurance?

President Obama and Mitt Romney : If elected would you consider changing your current hiring in salary to a performance based salary ? A great sales pitch can usually be motivated by a performance based salary . Example : Hire in at a 40% cut in salary while generating the remainder of your salary based on Preformance. Its about numbers and math and I like big bird too. If you only accept the additional salary based on your Preformance you may find that along with passing a bill for Congress to be on the same pay structure that you may actually get things in order. :) If the economy has a larger debt that when you took office no bonus. If it gains revenue back you Recieve a portion more of your salary each quarter 20% each quarter and at the end of the year if you have a track record of 100% gain each quarter you could Recieve an additional 10% more than you would have earned. this goes for congress too. Your a team so weather red or blue you may all generate additional revene at the and of each year. One other note if you leave your term in office with a larger debt than when you came into office your pension would be 50% less than what you currently would have. I think less jet trips and shorter meetings and everyone would be more eager to get things worked out because it would effect everyone salary. One other stipulation would be that the national adverage for unemployment could not drop and what you propose would factor in ranking of the Preformance bonuses recieved .

Mr. President and Mr. Romney: What are your plans to see that those of us over 50, who cannot yet collect our Social Security, and who lost our retirement funds because of Wall Street, or bad planning within the company, to see that we have livable wages. Most companies no longer wish to hire full time in our age groups (50 to 66 plus), and it requires several part time jobs to meet what used to be a livable wage at a full time salary. It seems that this age group, caught in the middle, who have exhausted all prospects and unemployment insurance are destined to be the new group of poor. What plans do you have in place to combat this? Do either of you have incentives pending for companies to hire full time senior workers as the government currently does for veterans? Also what programs would you but in place for those who have to live off Social Security only, not always a livable wage, because pensions or retirement funds where lost? These people, I would remind Mr. Romney, are people that did take personal responsibility for thier livelehood, and thier families, but remain caught in the mess of Wall Street. You also brought up in the previous debate that the number of people on food stamps has risen under the Obama administration. If this age group is the new poor, what other plans do you have so that they can continue to feed thier families?

As there are more and more bankrupticies being filed, and wages are not keeping up with inflation, would either administration consider a "debt forgiveness" bill?

Mr. Obama: Does your rogue Justice Department plan on taking any action to rectify the complete and utter incompetence, and perhaps deliberate malfeasance, of their "Fast and Furious" gun running program to Mexican drug cartels? Additionally, is your State Department, and your hapless Secretary of State, taking actions to reassure the Mexican government that American policy does not include a disrespect and indifference to the loss of multiple Mexican lives on Mexican soil caused by your gun running programs to Mexican drug cartels? Mr. President, please try to answer these questions without succumbing to your mania for blaming everything that has occurred during the past four years on your predecessors.

President Obama, I hope tonight's debate is not as taxing as your recent intellectually rigorous appearances on The View, Entertainment Tonight and the Letterman show. What is your reaction to the endorsement (of your re-election) by Marxist cuadillo Hugo Chavez? On a related note, please explain your indebtness to your mentor Frank Marshall Davis? Explain how this Stalinist apologist and Communist party member influenced your policies? Do you agree with his statements that President Franklin Roosevelt, President Harry Truman and Secretary of State George Marshall were liberal war mongers and that Europe would have been better off under the domination of Josef Stalin and the Soviet Union? Thank you sir.
