SOUND OFF: Mitt Romney and the Republican Convention

What did you think of Romney's speech and the convention? Will you vote for him in November?

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney accepted the Republican nomination for President of the United States on Thursday night.

Romney gave a speech that included a more personal view of his life as well as focused on adding jobs, criticizing President Obama’s policies, repealing Obamacare and promoting his business background.

Romney did not discuss his experience as governor of Massachusetts during the nationally-televised speech.

We want to hear from you – what did you think of the former governor’s speech? What did you think of the convention? Were you swayed in either direction after watching the proceedings from Tampa? From his experience as governor of the commonwealth, are you more apt or less apt to vote for Romney?

Let us know in the comment section below.

The previous 12 years or more, his presidency wasn't born in a vacuum. Our current President inherited a mess. The rapid growth of communications technology, and the internet, has allowed people to challenge the boundaries of their lives, on a local, national and international level. All over the world people are seeking freedom, and are using new tools to find it. We live in interesting times. People resisting the challenges and changes will find themselves powerless.

Hey LCT--- I read a LOT,I research, and I am also a registered Independent.FACTS,history, common sense, and caring for the poor and the survival of our Middle Class have led me to my political views.RUDE is the NICE way of describing the way republikans have systematically worked to destroy the heart of our country for 30+ years now.I am also an Artist, proud Public School Art Teacher, and I deal in knowledge, honesty, integrity, exposing phonies, and acquiring the TRUTH.Question: considering the HUGE mess President Obama inherited and the unwillingness of the ENTIRE republikan congress to work with him,do you truly believe that 1 term as President is a fair CHANCE? Do you have any FACTS to explain why Romney/Ryan would be better for 99% of the country than President Obama ??? I KNOW that Romney/Ryan would be better for the richest 1%,Wall St.,etc. because republikans ALWAYS want to help their uber-rich pals instead of helping the rest of us who truly NEED the help !!! It's the "republikan way !!!" I would recommend that you get some facts AND a heart. The Watchman

"And one word about the affordable care act...it may not be perfect but it's the best they seem to be able to come up with..." I have an idea. Before we roll out this nearly 3K page law, how about we try it out on a select test group? This group can follow & use all the rules/regulations so they can iron out any bugs on anything that doesn't work. I propose we let everyone who lives/works in/for the WH, elected, appointed, general employees, everyone in/for the House & the Senate, all the employees right down to the janitors. Just to round out the group, we throw in everyone appointed or otherwise employed in the Supreme Court be part of this trial run. To be fair & not limit this test to the Washington DC area, all office, staff, etc employees in Senators & Congress's home office(s) around the US will be included. All family members of this group will be participate. No exceptions, no waivers for anyone for any reason. I'm sure all of these people would be more than willing to help their country with a difficult program; they are all our "employees", drawing checks from the Federal Government, thus our tax dollars. I think four years or so should be enough time to get everything ship-shape & ready for all of us. To assist the group we can set up an 800 Help center like we have for Social Security/Medicare with unlimited room for callers to sit on hold forever or roam around endlessly in voice-mail jail. How does this sound?
