Today is Town Election Day

The annual Town Election is Tuesday, April 26. Take one last look at who's running and where you can cast your vote.

Milton’s Town Election is today. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are several contested races, a few important positions that are uncontested and Town Meeting member elections.

The contested races included Selectman and Assessor as well as Milton Cemetery Trustee and three Milton Public Library Trustees.

In the race, Tom Hurley and Richard Livingston are running to replace , who served consecutively for the last 12 years.

The campaign is between incumbent M. Joseph Manning and his challenger, Jim Henderson.

The race is for Anthony Sammarco’s seat, which he vacated over the summer. Barbara Martin has been the interim trustee. She is running against Thomas Stanton for the position.

There are five people vying for three positions. Eugene Boylan, Greg Buchanan and Mary Regan are all not seeking re-election for the nine-person board. Running to replace them are Raymond P. Czwakiel, Mary Riffe Hiss, Kristine Hodlin, Frank Schroth and Paul Yovino.

There are also two open spots on the Milton School Committee. Kristan Bagley-Jones is running for another term, unopposed. is retiring after 12 years and Leroy Walker, who is also running unopposed, will fill his position.

The other uncontested races today include: the Town Treasurer, a Park Commissioner, a Board of Health member, Planning Board member and an additional member of the Cemetery Trustees.
