Milton resident Annemarie Fagan is the current Interim Town Administrator and is one of the four finalists for Town Administrator that interviewed with the Board of Selectmen on Monday, February 25.
Fagan, who has 18 years of experience working for the Town of Milton, has been the Interim Town Administrator since the Selectmen voted not to renew Kevin Mearn's contract seven months ago.
Fagan said after Mearn's termination, she made a point to meet with staff members and rebuild moral. She also stressed the importance of communication throughout her interview.
"I believe if conflict is unresolved it can fester and create a toxic environment," said Fagan.
Fagan has been Milton's Assistant Town Administrator since 2000. Prior to that she served four years as the Executive Secretary to the Board of Selectmen and a year as Principal Clerk of the Park Department.
While Fagan is the only Milton resident of the four remaining finalists, she is also the only candidate without a college degree or an advanced public administration education.
"I have life lessons and I have work experience," said Fagan.
