Town of Milton Announces GIS Viewer Training

The Milton engineering department will host a training for the new Geographic Information System (GIS) viewer on Wednesday at the Milton Public Library.

The Town of Milton recently launched a new Geographic Information System (GIS) viewer. The online feature, which is managed by the town’s engineering department, includes a wealth of information about property in Milton.

According to an announcement of the system from the Town of Milton, the GIS, “includes all of the Town’s Assessor and parcel data, utility infrastructure locations, public tree locations and details and other useful layers such as aerial photos, floodplain locations and hydrologic features.”

To help residents better understand the new technology, Allan Bishop of the engineering department will host an information session on Wednesday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at the Milton Public Library.
