Milton Closes Out Cross Country Season

The Milton High Cross Country teams participated in the MIAA Division 4 5k race on Saturday.

With a team of five boys and five girls the Milton Wildcats cross country team participated in the MIAA Division 4 5k race. Both boys and girls team ran the 5k course through Franklin Park Boston on Saturday, November 12.

This would be the last race of the season for the young teams. The boys had a 2-7 season while girls had a 4-7 season. "We had young teams, but overall the season was good, but I wish more would come out for cross country," said Coach Dale Snyder.

In the Girls Division 4 Cross Country race out of 166 runners for the 5k event Milton runners finished as follows:

31st MOLLY MADDEN 21:22, 61st MOLLY DEMPSEY 22:48, 115th EMMA GREENAWALT 24:29, 128th MEGAN MCISSAC 24:56 and 146th SINEAD O'CONNOR 26:18.

In the team standings Milton finished 17th out of 24 teams that participated.

In the Boys Division 4 Cross Country race out of 180 runners for the 5k event Milton runners finished as follows:   

53rd NICK ORLANDO 18:06, 64th JON MAHER 18:25, 83rd CHRIS RICCIUTI 18:51, 97th PETER EBERHARDT 19:25, and 108th GORDON JARVIS 19:33.   

In the team competition Milton finished 15th out of 26 that participated.
