Both teams would fight all the way down to the end. With 2 seconds left in the game Milton's Jonge DaSilva would shoot a 3-point half court shot in an attempt to tie the game. The shot would bounce off the rim as the Milton fans sighed.

In the end the Mustangs would squeeze out the win 55-52 over the Wildcats.

The game was up and down for the Wildcats (0-2), who held a 6-point lead going into the second quarter. But the Mustangs would settle down and at halftime. They had a commanding 10-point lead over the Wildcats. In the second half Milton would claw its way back into contention and by the fourth quarter were close enough to make a run for the win.

Norwood would barely keep their lead with less than 2 minutes left in the game with the score 48-45. With 11 seconds left in the game AJ Flanagan would collide with a Mustang player that would send him crashing to the court. A shaken Flanagan slowly moved to the foul line  sinking both shots making the score 51-50.
