will host its graduation on Thursday, May 24, at 6 p.m. on the Fontbonne lawn.
The traditional white tent is already up, and students and families have a busy week, including the Baccalaureate Mass and awards evening on Tuesday, May 22, and Class Day and luncheon at Lantana’s with the Learning Community on Wednesday, May 23.
The graduation itself will begin with a procession of the Class of 2012, followed by honored guests and 50th reunion alumnae, the Class of 1962.
Honors Speakers, who must have a 3.5 GPA or above and submit a portfolio to a committee for rigorous selection, will address their graduating class. This year, seniors Caroline Murray and Kayla Stravin, both of Quincy, will speak their final words of wisdom and encouragement to their class.
Braintree resident Joan Garrity, a member of the Class of 1962, will be the graduation speaker. She has had an active and distinguished career in nursing and education.
