Milton Residents Earn College Degrees, Dean’s List Honors

The following is a collection of recent college graduation and dean's list announcements.

Milton Students Awarded Degrees at St. Lawrence University's Commencement Ceremony

The following local students were among the 548 students awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University's Commencement ceremony, held May 22 on campus in Canton, New York:

Samuel C. Gacicia, of Milton, was awarded a degree in performance & communication arts, with a minor in educational studies. Gacicia graduated from Dexter and Southfield Schools.

Michael E. MacNeil, of Milton, was awarded a degree in economics, with a minor in fine arts. MacNeil graduated from Thayer Academy.

Lily O'Brien Named to Dean's List at Beloit College

Lily O'Brien, of Milton,  has been named to Beloit College's Dean's List for the spring semester.

Megan Hennessey Named to Sacred Heart University's Dean's List

Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Conn., has announced the Dean's List for the spring semester 2012. To receive this honor, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale. Megan Hennessey of Milton has made the dean's list.

John Carlson Graduates from Ohio Wesleyan University

John Carlson of Milton graduated May 13, 2012, from Ohio Wesleyan University. Carlson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Catherine Fawls of Milton Earns Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Scranton

Catherine A. Fawls of Milton was among the record number of graduates awarded master's and doctorate of physical therapy degrees by The University of Scranton at its post-baccalaureate commencement on May 26. The University of Scranton conferred 59 doctoral degrees in physical therapy and 762 master's degrees, both of which are records for the University, at the commencement.

Fawls received a doctor of physical therapy degree from the Jesuit university's College of Graduate and Continuing Education.
