Milton Students Named to Dean's List at Villanova University

Villanova University named the following students to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester.

  • Caitlin Gemma, from Milton, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
  • Michael Hartigan, from Milton, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Villanova School of Business,

Villanova University Dean's List recipients are honored by their college's respective dean. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.

Richard Boehler Receives Degree from Western New England University

Richard J. Boehler of Milton, received a Master of Business Administration degree from Western New England University on February 15, 2013.

Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England University serves 3,700 students, including 2,550 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy, and School of Law.

Nicholas Primiani Named To Dean's List At Loyola University Maryland

Nicholas Primiani, a member of the class of 2015 from Milton, has been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Loyola University Maryland.

In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.

Milton Residents Graduate from Mount Ida College

Mount Ida College, in Newton, MA, conferred four associate degrees, 50 bachelor's degrees and one master's degree to graduating students as of January 28, 2013. These graduates majored in more than 20 different fields from fashion design to veterinary technology. As there is no formal ceremony in January, graduates take part in the May commencement.

The following students graduated from Mount Ida College:

  • Keith Jones, Milton, Business Administration
  • Christopher Virgona, Milton, Funeral Home Management

Milton Students Named to Colby College Dean's List

Area students were named to the Dean's List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for their outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2012-13 year.

  • Rachel M. Guerra, a senior, is the daughter of Richard and Rose Guerra of Milton, and attended Ursuline Academy.
  • Holly E. Mawn, a senior, is the daughter of Peter Mawn and Sandra Carr of Milton, and attended Milton Academy.

Students whose grade point averages were 3.67 or higher were named to the Dean's List.
