Milton Youths Win Boston College High Awards

The following Milton students received awards from BC High.

William J. Kemeza, President of Boston College High School, is pleased to announce that the following students from Milton recently received special awards at an assembly to honor BC High undergraduates.

  • Ryan Buckley ’13 won an Excellence award in Marine Biology, a Celtic Culture Club award and a Green Team award.
  • Stephen C. Campo’13 received Excellence awards in English III and Physics and a St. Lawrence Community Service award.
  • Stephen Dapic ‘13 received Excellence awards in European History AP  and Spanish AP.
  • Denis Glinski ‘13 received Excellence awards in Chemistry I and Concert Choir.
  • Conor McDaid ‘13 received an Excellence award in Physics.
  • Christopher Rafanan ’13 won the Hip Hop Dance Club award.
  • Sean Regan ’13 won the Atlantis Award for enthusiasm and passion for Science.
  • Peter Timmins ‘13 received an Excellence award in Spanish IV Honors Liberation Theology and he won the John J. Begley, S.J. Scholar Award. The John J. Begley, S. J. Scholar award recognizes students who exemplify the values that define the life and career of Father John J. Begley, S. J. , and who serve as models of the Graduate at Graduation which the School stresses to all its graduates. During his years as a teacher and scholastic at Boston College High School, Father Begley fostered among his students a sense of intellectual and cultural curiosity, encouraged leadership and responsibility, and cultivated a broad view of the world and humanity.
  • John Carroll ’14 won an Excellence award in English II.
  • John Marquardt ‘14 won a Certificat d’Honneur in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
  • Matthew O’Malley ‘14 received Excellence awards in French III Honors and Geometry and he was a Gold Medal Laureat National Winner, finishing in the top 10th percentile in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
  • John Serio ’14 won an Excellence award in Stagecraft and a Certificat d’Honneur in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
  • Richard Sullivan ’14 was a Gold Medal Laureat National Winner, finishing in the top 10th percentile in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
  • Ciaran Burke won a Certificat d’Honneur in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
  • Jeffrey Gailius ’15 won a Latin Certamen award.
  • Mark Malone ’15 won a Gold Medal – Summa cum Laude –in the National Latin Exam.
  • Edward Pacheco ’15 won an Excellence award in Algebra I.
  • Robert Scannell ‘15 won a Certificat d’Honneur in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
