Curry College is on alert tonight about a possible case of the mumps, according to a number of media outlets including WCVB-TV.

Several weeks ago, according to the school, a visitor to the campus was experiencing symptoms. No students, faculty, or staffers appear to have come down with the viral disease even though it is extremely contagious.

At post time, Curry College had not issued a statement about the situation on its website.
