Kudos to the Blue Hills Football team. It's a shame though that the refs ultimately decided the game. It's a fine line between a player being excited as he's about to score the winning touchdown and excessive celebration. In this case, the ref was unable to distinguish the line, taking the game away from Cathedral. Nevertheless, not to take anything away from Blue Hills---great game boys, a well deserved win.

Its sad that some ref ruined that game. Its shameful for Blue Hills to accept that as a victory. Blue Hills didn't win the game. They had it handed to them, due to the actions of an over zealous ref.

Mayor Menino agrees...as he spoke at Cathedral High School... http://www.nesn.com/2011/12/boston-mayor-thomas-menino-blasts-miaa-as-frustrated-athletes-for-celebration-rule-that-cost-team-su.html

Mayor Menino should stick to the job he holds and not comment on football. ALL players were warned prior to the game that there was to be NO celebration, and ultimately what Mayor Menino is telling the Cathedral team and everyone else, that it is okay in his book to not follow rules!! Is that really the message he wants to give to the public that it is okay to break the rules, he only raised his hand for a matter of a few seconds, the rules were explicit, zero tolerance, this was told to all players and coaches prior to the game.

Liberals give you zero tolerance and redistribute the score. Blue Hill's did not win this game. The trophy is tainted.
