Local Softball Program Tryouts Set for Aug. 27-30

The Boston Bandits are the Junior Olympic summer tournament teams that represent Parkway Girls Softball League. After a successful 2012 season, it is time to look ahead to next year. The Bandits will be holding tryouts for the 2012 season over the week of August 27-30.

The Bandits field teams in the U10, U12, U14 and U16 age divisions that play in four to six highly competitive tournaments throughout New England during the course of the summer. Depending upon the number of qualified interested players and coaches, a second team may be added to any of the age divisions. The Bandits will also field a U18 team this year if qualified players are interested.

All players looking to develop their skills while playing against some of the best teams across New England are encouraged to attend. Players either playing on high school teams, or looking to compete in high school, will benefit a great deal playing at this competitive level.

Try-outs will be held according to the following schedule:

U10 (2002 & 2003 Birth Year): 
Monday, August 27 5:30-7:30 p.m. West Roxbury HS 
(Rain Date September 15 9-11 p.m. West Roxbury HS)

U12 (2000 & 2001 Birth Year): 
Monday, August 27 5:30-7:30 West Roxbury HS 
(Rain Date September 15 9-11 a.m. West Roxbury HS)

U14 (1998 & 1999 Birth Year): 
Tuesday, August 28 5:30-7:30 p.m. West Roxbury HS 
( Rain Date September 15 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. West Roxbury HS)

U16 (1996 & 1997 Birth Year): 
Wednesday, August 29 5:30-7:30 p.m. West Roxbury HS 
(Rain Date September 24 2-4 p.m. West Roxbury HS)

U18 (1995 & 1994 Birth Year): 
Wednesday, August 29 5:30-7:30 p.m. West Roxbury HS 
(Rain Date September 24 2-4 p.m. West Roxbury HS)

*All players should complete the attached registration form and arrive 15-30 minutes before their scheduled time so they can check in and warm up.
