Milton Runners Brave Heat in 116th Boston Marathon

Leading up to the race, the forecast called for temperatures in the mid-80s. The higher-than-normal temperatures prompted race officials to allow runners who were inexperienced running in heat to defer their registration to 2013.

According to the Boston Athletic Association’s website, it appears that 9 Milton runners were among the 5,000 who chose to defer.  Of the 36 registered participants from Milton, 27 had finishing times on Monday evening.
