An application for funding may be downloaded from the hospital’s website atwww.bidmilton.org/walk2012. The deadline to apply for funding has been extended to Friday, August 10th. A review panel comprised of members of the hospital staff and community will select grant winners. Winners will notified by the end of August, and funds will be distributed after the hospital’s Community Health Walk, planned for Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Since the annual event was first held in 2010, the Community Health Walk has generated over $13,000 to support a variety of wellness initiatives, including wellness programs in schools, health screenings and education for the homeless, childcare workshops, health promotion for seniors and more.
