Milton Resident Leads the Way in Falmouth Road Race

On Sunday, August 11, the 63 runners of Charity Fundraising Team JAF (Joe Andruzzi Foundation) completed the 41st running of the New Balance Falmouth Road Race.

Milton resident and Team JAF (Joe Andruzzi Foundation) runner James Brosnan is joined by former New England Patriot, three-time Super Bowl Champion and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi and his wife, executive director of the Foundation and fellow Team JAF runner Jen Andruzzi, after successfully completing the 7.1 mile New Balance Falmouth Road Race.

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is an organization committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.

Brosnan was among the 63 runners – an homage to Andruzzi’s jersey number 63 from his playing days in the NFL – who spent months training and fundraising in support of the Foundation’s mission.

Each Team JAF runner raised a minimum amount of $1,250, helping the Foundation raise a total amount of more than $137,000, which will help support cancer patients and their families in need throughout the region. Brosnan was the top finisher for Team JAF and a committed fund-raiser, raising nearly $2,500 for the Foundation on his own. He completed the race in 49:22.
