The Blue Hill Observatory is a private science center that studies and measures the atmosphere and tracks the weather. There are no public roads to this observatory, but you can hike some of the trails on the Blue Hills Reservation to view it. The closest parking lot is at the Trailside Museum. The hike from this point is a little less than a mile, and there is a map to point you in the right direction. Blue Hills is open from dawn until dusk, so plan accordingly.
