Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (BID-Milton), formerly Milton Hospital, which provides community-based health care, recently announced its annual Spring Fundraising Gala grossed more than $142,000. All proceeds from the event support the recent implementation of new digital mammography services. Held on May 16th at Lombardo’s in Randolph, over 350 guests enjoyed an evening of music, dinner, and silent and live auctions. Top selling items included seven night accommodations in a luxury penthouse in Kinsale, Ireland and a round of golf for four at the historic Newport Country Club. ENT surgeon Edward J. Reardon, MD, has been appointed as Chief of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. Dr. Reardon has been a member of the Milton medical staff since 1978. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton recently announced that it partnered with Milton Public Schools to teach third graders how a balanced diet and exercise can lead to good health and academic success. The program, which kicked off in February, included BID-Milton nutrition experts Jill Gordon, RD and Mercy Devadoss, RD, Lead Clinical Dietitian, who partnered with the Milton school’s Director of Food Services Jackie Morgan. Dr. Huy Linh Vu, an internist and pediatrician, will join the medical staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Milton.
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton recently announced the addition of an internist and pediatrician with strong ties to the local Vietnamese community to the medical staff. Huy Linh Vu, M.D. completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Saigon University of Medicine in Saigon, Vietnam. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Milton Hospital have formalized their long-standing collaborative relationship under a new agreement that will enhance the existing clinical affiliation and allow both institutions to further their common missions of promoting the health of the communities they serve. Under the new arrangement, Milton Hospital will be renamed Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton to reflect the greater integration. The new agreement, which took effect on January 1, will result in better coordination of care and services through shared electronic medical information and coordinated clinical and programming.
