Milton Musicians to Perform with Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra

The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra will hold on one-time performance of Verdi’s Rigoletto.

Three Milton musicians will perform in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s one-time staging of Verdi’s Rigoletto. Christian Ernest, 16, bass, Lily Moerschel, 16, cello, and Rose Moerschel, 16, violin, will participate in the opera on Sunday, January 20, at 3 p.m. at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge. The performance will be conducted by BYSO Music Director Federico Cortese and feature the Handel and Haydn Society Chorus. Milton Musicians to Perform with Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra

Four Milton residents will play with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra in an upcoming semi-staged performance of Verdi's Falstaff.

Four Milton musicians are participating in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s semi-staged performance of Verdi’s Falstaff on Sunday January 22, at 3 p.m. at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. The Milton residents involved in the performance are: Christian Ernest, 15, double bass; Elizabeth Mahon, 17, cello; Rose Moerschel, 15, violin; and Lily Moerschel, 15, cello. The Boston Youth Symphony and professional singers Handel and Haydn Society Chorus will come together conducted by Music Director, Federico Cortese with stage direction by  Marc Astafan. The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra is the only youth orchestra to present full, semi-staged operas and this is the fifth year of an opera performance. Tickets for the opera start at $25 …
