Play Presentation Planned for Pulitzer Prize Winner, Milton Academy Alumnus

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston will hold a presentation of David Lindsay-Abaire’s play, Good People, on September 20.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston will hold a special presentation of Pulitzer Prize winning playwright and Milton Academy alumnus David Lindsay-Abaire’s play, Good People, on Thursday, September 20. Good People, which is based in South Boston where Lindsay-Abaire grew up, is being staged on the Huntington Theatre Company’s main stage, Boston University Theatre, 264 Huntington Avenue. Since age 6, Lindsay-Abaire has been involved with the South Boston Boys and Girls Club. At 13, he was awarded the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston Milton Academy Scholarship. At Milton Academy he became heavily involved in his studies and theatre. In May, Lindsay-Abaire was inducted into the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Holl of fame. His acceptance speech …

Milton Residents Attend Fundraiser at Red Sox Owner's Home

Boston Red Sox owner John Henry hosted the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s 7th Annual House Party.

Two Milton residents recently attended the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s 7th Annual House Party at the home of Boston Red Sox Owner John Henry. Lisa and Paul Rooney attended the event hosted by Henry and his wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry. This year’s House Party raised more than $2.3 million to help serve urban youth, according to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. New England Patriots wide receiver, Wes Welker, and team owner, Robert Kraft, among other celebrities, were also part of the event.
