The Town of Milton will collect yard waste next week.
The final yard waste collection of the year will be the week of December 10 to December 14. Questions about the pickup can be directed to the DPW Trash Line at 617-898-4900. Below are some simple guidelines from the Milton DPW.

The Town of Milton will be conducting its fall water main flushing program beginning the week of September 24, 2012 continuing until completion. Flushing will take place between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., nightly. Water main flushing is an efficient method of improving water quality and is an important part of a water distribution system maintenance program. The flushing activity may cause discolored water due to dissolved iron. The water may not be aesthetically pleasing, but according to the environmental protection agency is not a public health threat. The Milton DPW will closely monitor the water quality. On Saturday, September 15, 2012, the Milton Department of Public Works will hold a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Day for Milton residents. Collection hours are from 9 a.m. to noon. The collection takes place at the DPW Yard, 629 Randolph Avenue, rain or shine. Materials should be left, where possible, in their original containers. Containers should be put in sturdy boxes and placed in the trunk of a vehicle so that contents will be easy to remove. Residents will remain in their vehicles during the entire collection process. The DPW Open House, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Milton DPW Yard, 629 Randolph Avenue, celebrates National Public Works Week and the thousands of men and women who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as Public Works.
