What's Open (or Not) on MLK Day
Martin Luther King Day will be observed today, Monday, January 21.
Today is the federal oberservance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. Here's a run down of what's open/closed: All municipal, state and federal offices and facilities will be closed. This includes schools and the post office. All MBTA buses and trains will running on a reduced weekend/holiday schedule. Liquor stores: Open at the owner's discretion. Retail and convenience stores: Open at the owner's discretion. Restaurants and bars: Most will be open, but call ahead. It's up to the owner.
