MIlton Landlord Agrees to Pay for Furnace Repair, After Town Intervenes
Criminal charges were dropped yesterday in Quincy District Court, after landlord agreed to pay to fix the furnace of his rental home in Milton.
Jacqueline Ashley and her family lived without heat or hot water for months in a Milton house owned by a Lincoln, Ma. couple, according to myfoxboston.com. The Town of Milton intervened, paid for the furnace repair and sought criminal charges against the landlord, Yao Feng, and his wife, the legal owner of the property. The criminal charges were dropped Thursday in Quincy District Court, after Yao Feng, in lieu of his wife, appeared and agreed to reimburse the Town $2,300.
