A banner congratulating Milton for being named the No. 2 Best Place to Live by Money Magazine is now on the town green.
Since word spread of Milton being named the No. 2 Best Place to Live by CNN/Money Magazine, the town has happily accepted the recognition and questioned why Milton wasn't given the top spot. Now a new banner on the green at Town Hall announces the honor to all who drive down Canton Avenue.

While residents have known for generations, Milton is once again getting national recognition as a great place to live. Milton was named number two on the CNN/Money Magazine 2011 Best Places to Live in America. “I think it’s fantastic news for the town,” said Board of Selectmen Chair Robert Sweeney of Milton’s third, and highest, appearance on the list of 100 small American towns. The annual list recognizes towns below 50,000 people with a combination of fiscal strength, job opportunities and strong schools among other factors.
